We always choose restaurants based on Google ratings and this one had a 4.6 according to Google. It was much better!!!!! There were three of us and we ordered various dishes. These included tempura with prawns and vegetables, gyoza, bowls and sushi rolls. The super friendly waiter told us that his fish comes from a Japanese trader, so all the ingredients are very, very fresh. Everything was beautifully presented and served very quickly. However, it has to be said that we only had one other guest in the restaurant. The waiter also gave us at the expense of the house 3 pieces of salmon with a special sauce from fusion Thai-Japanese cuisine. We would recommend this restaurant 100% because of the very tasty food and the outstanding service!

This was the best vegan sushi I have ever tried. There are so many options, more than most places that offer vegan sushi have. I ordered the mini mix and match vegan rolls and they were so cute and delicious. The crunchy tofu roll was also so good. The atmosphere was really pretty and the ladies working here are SO sweet. I wish I lived closer, I would come here all the time.

The food and service were amazing! The curry ramen is brilliant! The rolls were very good. Super nice owners.

This place is so good! Every dish I've tried has been delicious, but I especially love the vegan ramen because it comes with a thai curry broth. The owner is a super nice and fun to chat with, you can tell how passionate he is about food and the ingredients he uses.

Excellent spot for sushi in the neighborhood. Loved the monstrosity they called a Baked Salmon Avocado with eel sauce appetizer. It was insanely great (first photo). I got the caterpillar roll and it was really great. Nice service and a nice atmosphere. Check it out!

I came here late on a Monday evening, and they were out of a few menu items: this to me spells success as a business, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to choose to dine here! The restaurant was also playing music videos on their one TV, and I’m a total sucker for music videos. I think it’s a much better choice as opposed to, say, sports, or a reality show. Miso soup is always a go to. You gotta have it if you’re getting sushi. And this was absolutely wonderful, flavorful miso. It had nice big chunks of silky tofu, which was, of course, divine. I asked the waiter to just tell the chef to make two rolls of whatever they wanted, since they were out of tuna and a lot of the menu had tuna on it. Up first was the Snow White roll. It was light, tangy, and a little bit spicy. It’s on the more unique side as far as rolls that I’ve had goes. I wish I kept the menu with me so I’d know exactly what was in it, but it seemed to have some peppers in the middle and that was a very pleasant surprise! I was also surprised with the next roll that came out: it wasn’t even on the menu, and was a brand new roll! It’s called OMG... and OMG, is it amazing!! It’s a shrimp tempura roll with delicious sauce on too and some crunchies. This one is definitely on the more savory side! It also packs a punch in terms of spicy, which I personally love. My server later told me that this roll was their Thai/Japanese fusion roll, which definitely explains its unique flavor. I can’t recommend it enough. All in all, I had an absolutely wonderful experience. I learned the hard way that it’s near impossible to find parking in Long Beach, but I would brave it again to dine here another day.

We stayed at an Airbnb in Long Beach. we looked for close by restaurants and found blue bird sushi! It was an amazing find!! We ordered many rolls and each roll was delicious, fresh, well proportioned, and beautifully presented. Our favs were the Marilyn monroll, spicy garlic edamame, and the dragon balls were delicious!! John was our waiter and so friendly and great to chat with! This is will be a recommendation I give to people visiting Long Beach! Hope to get back again!

They have a whole vegan menu! They make their vegan fish from different plant sources included roots. Must try!
